Solution for injection
Isoniazid-Darnitsa is used intravenously in the form of inhalations, intramuscularly, intracavernosally. Intravenously, Isoniazid-Darnitsa is administered for the treatment of advanced pulmonary tuberculosis, with massive bacterial release, concomitant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, patients who shy away from ingestion, in case of ineffectiveness with this method of administration. Adults and adolescents enter for 0.01 to 0.015 g( 10-15 mg) per 1 kg of body weight per day( 10% solution) for 30-60 seconds, once a day. The course of treatment depends on the effectiveness of therapy and the tolerability of the drug - 30-150 injections. To prevent side effects with intravenous Isoniazid-Darnitsa, vitamin B6( pyridoxine) and glutamic acid are used. Pyridoxine is administered intramuscularly( 100-125 mg) 30 minutes after isoniazid-darnitsa or is prescribed by mouth( 60-100 mg) every 2 hours after intravenous Isoniazid-Darnitsa injections. Glutamic acid is taken in a daily dose of 1 to 1.5 g. With intravenous use of the drug, it is necessary to comply with bed rest for 1-1.5 hours.
Intramuscularly, adults and adolescents are administered as a 10% solution at 5-12 mg / kg inDay, once a day for 2-5 months. To alleviate the side effect with this method of administration in conjunction with the introduction of Isoniazid-Darnitsa, pyridoxine is administered at a dose of 60-100 mg( it can also be administered intramuscularly 30 minutes after isoniazid-darnitsa at a dose of 100-125 mg / kg).
Inhalation Isoniazid-Darnitsa is prescribed in 1-2 divided doses as a 10% solution. The daily dose is 0.005-0.01 g( 5-10 mg) per 1 kg of body weight. Inhalations are performed daily for 1-6 months.
Patients with fibrous-cavernous and cavernous forms of tuberculosis in case of bacterial excretion and in the preoperative period 10% solution of the drug in a daily dose of 10-15 mg / kg, once a day, are administered predominantly intracavernosed.
The maximum daily and course dose of the drug is determined depending on the nature and form of the disease, the degree of inactivation and individual tolerance of isoniazid.
During treatment, it is necessary to have medical control, regular carrying out of functional hepatic tests and ophthalmological examination. In the first month of the survey, it is necessary to conduct at least 2 times, then at least 1 time per month.

Side effects of Isoniazid
In doses that are recommended, Isoniazid-Darnitsa is generally well tolerated. Sometimes dizziness, headache, irritability, euphoria, sleep disturbance, paresthesia. Rarely arise peripheral neuritis, psychosis, increased frequency of seizures in epileptic patients, palpitations, chest pain, in the heart, the liver, allergic reaction( eosinophilia, itching, dermatitis, fever, etc.).Very rarely there are gynecomastia and menorrhagia, hepatitis.
Of course, side effects occur with a reduced dose or a temporary break in taking the drug. This
isoniazid-Darnitsya contraindicated, regardless of the route of administration of the drug intolerance, epilepsy and other diseases involving the tendency to convulsions, in the case of the previously transferred polio, disorders of the kidneys and the liver, atherosclerosis.
Antacid agents reduce isoniazid absorption, so the interval between their intake should be at least 1 hour. Isoniazid potentiates effects( including toxic) of indirect anticoagulants, benzodiazepines, phenytoin, carbamazepine, theophylline, MAO inhibitors. Concomitant use of potentially hepatotoxic and neurotoxic agents, including alcohol, rifampicin, increases the risk of toxic hepatitis and neuropathy, with paracetamol increases the risk of hepatotoxic action.
To enhance the efficiency of Isoniazid-Darnitsya used in combination with other anti-inflammatory drugs( e.g., Rifampicin-Darnitsya, Ethambutol-Darnitsya, Pyrazinamide-Darnitsya) and a mixed infection - simultaneously with broad-spectrum antibiotics: fluoroquinolones( e.g. ofloxacin-Darnitsya, Ciprofloxacin-Darnitsa), sulfonamides( for example, Biseptrim), macrolides( for example, Clamed, Azicin, Roxilide), etc. Overdosing
